At Bluestone Energy, we’re on a mission to transform the UK’s energy landscape by delivering clean, affordable, and locally generated power. As a family-owned business, we take a long-term view—investing not just in infrastructure, but in the communities we serve and the partnerships we build.
Founded as a renewable energy developer, Bluestone Energy has grown from a small team focused on land acquisition and early-stage project development into a nationally recognised renewables platform. Over the last few years, we have secured grid capacity, planning consents and commercial agreements across a significant pipeline of solar and battery projects.
Now, we’re entering the next chapter of our journey: transitioning into an Independent Power Producer (IPP). That means not just developing clean energy projects—but owning and operating them for the long term. As we take projects through financial close and into construction, we’re building the internal capabilities to manage them post-COD and deliver stable returns to our partners and real-world savings to our customers.

What we do
We specialise in the development, construction and long-term operation of renewable energy assets across the UK. Our core focus areas include:
By integrating storage, generation and local supply, we are helping the UK transition to a more flexible, resilient and decentralised grid.
Our Approach
We work with purpose. Our strategy is grounded in:
Our preference for local authority and government-backed offtake sets Bluestone apart—driving both long-term revenue certainty and meaningful public good.

Our Journey
Our transition to IPP is a natural evolution. Having successfully developed and sold three portfolios of projects as a development partner with the likes of Total Energies, Eku and EON, we have now reached the stage where we can build, own and operate our assets—retaining value within the business and taking full responsibility for project performance over the long term.
This shift has been supported by the appointment of leading financial advisors who are over seeing our debt raise, and the creation of internal teams focused on construction oversight, technical delivery, and long-term asset optimisation.
We’re proud to be approaching financial close on three projects in summer 2025, with more to follow. Each of these will be built, owned, and operated by Bluestone, backed by strong commercial agreements and supported by public sector partners.

Where We’re Going
We are currently advancing a portfolio that will bring over 800MW of clean energy online by 2028. Key recent milestones include:
Why Bluestone?
We are proud to be family-owned and that brings a sense of integrity, accountability and continuity to everything we do. We care deeply about our role in the energy transition and how our projects are received by the communities around them. We don’t just deliver megawatts—we deliver meaningful partnerships that stand the test of time.
